How it all started...
Little did we know that Sweet South Market’s story began years ago at East Three Notch Elementary School in Andalusia, Alabama. That’s where two childhood friends—Rosemary and Jennifer—first crossed paths. What brought us back together years later was something simple but true to our roots: a love for gardening, good food, and of course, boiled peanuts. What started as a shared hobby soon grew into a dream. Together, we set out to build a modern-day roadside stand—one that celebrated Southern traditions while welcoming everyone with warmth and hospitality. As nurses by trade, we’ve been trained to pay attention to the smallest details and to care deeply for others. We brought that same spirit into Sweet South Market. From Southern cooking to Southern hospitality, we’ve worked hard to create a place that offers “a little bit of everything Southern.” Our hope is that when you visit Sweet South Market—whether in person or online—you feel at home. No matter your walk of life, we want you to leave with a sense of community, family, and love. May God continue to bless you and your family. Thank you for being part of our story, and welcome to Sweet South Market.
